Rock out and tune into Kool Kat Rev. Andy Hawley’s Psychobilly Freakout Radio broadcasting on Garage 71 at 8pm, every Monday! Get funky and groove on down to Café 290 every second and fourth Monday of the month for a taste of Bumpin the Mango, ‘The groove that makes you want to move!” Boogie on down to the Northside Tavern and spend an evening with Lola at her famous Monday Night Northside Jam!

Tuesday, April 30

Get folk rocked with Joe Purdy and Smokey & The Mirror at Eddie’s Attic! International Jazz Day at the Red Light Café features Myrna Clayton & Friends! Catch The Atlanta Opera’s presentation of Verdi’s LA TRAVIATA at the Cobb Energy Centre! Spend the night with the Indigo Girls at the Variety Playhouse! Get the blues with Matt Pendrick at Blind Willies! Jam it up with Joe Gransden and his jazz jam session at Venkman’s! The Star Bar delivers a night of retro shenanigans with DJ Quasi Mandisco’s Dance Party featuring retro-soul, funk, ‘80s, ‘90s and more! TheAtlanta Jewish Film Festival presents a screening of Ryan White’s ASK DR. RUTH (2019), the incredible life story of famed sex therapist and Holocaust survivor, Dr. Ruth at the UA Tara Theatre at 7:50pm, followed by a Q&A with Dr. Ruth’s daughter Miriam Westheimer! Folk it up with Willie Watson at Eddie’s Attic! The Highlander rocks out with their Punk/Metal/New Wave Karaoke Night, every Wednesday! Catch a Flashback Cinema screening of Rob Reiner’s WHEN HARRY MET SALLY (1989) at theatres across Atlanta [Northlake Festival Movie Tavern (Tucker); GTC Merchant’s Walk Cinemas (Marietta); Movie Tavern at Horizon Village (Suwannee); and The Springs Cinema & Taphouse (Sandy Springs)! Funk it up with the Mike Veal Band at Tin Roof Cantina! Get jazzy at the Red Light Café with The Gordon Vernick Quartet! Blind Willies dishes out a night with The Cazanovas! Stomp on down to The Star Bar for a night with the Chris Massey Band, Kool Kat Dave Weil and Blacktop (formerly Blacktop Rockets) and Truckstop Confidential! Gangstagrass dishes out a night of hip hoppin’ bluegrass at City Winery! Jazz it up with the Yellowjackets at Suite Food Lounge! Out Front Theatre Company presents THE SECRETARIES through May 18! It’s Mai Tai Thursday at Trader Vic’s so get down with some island tunes and have some killer cocktails! The Northside Tavern gets rockin’ with a little Chicago/Delta blues of The Breeze Kings! Every first Wednesday is the Graveyard Tavern’s Graveyard Swing Night, featuring the swingin’ jazz and boogie-woogie sounds of the Savoy Kings!
