Join the National Endowment for the Arts’ Human: A Pretty Monstrous Experience, an arts festival intended to celebrate their 41st season. While the entirety of humanity encounters this pandemic together, our artists continue to connect while examining what is essential during this pretty monstrous experience. A variety of artistic responses inspired by Kelly Link’s PRETTY MONSTERS and our responsibility in navigating fear and social divide will knock down the barriers of isolation. Tune in between noon and 6 PM for all of these world premieres complete with introductions via live feed from the blood drive to keep you company along the way! Boogie down with DJ Livestream with Johnny’s Hideaway at 8pm! Indie-psych band Elephant Stone released their 6th album Hollow shortly before March, eerily about the end of the world. Today, they’ve shared a poignant new single, “American Dream” exclusively on Bandcamp. All proceeds will be donated to the PLUS1 COVID-19 Relief Fund! Garage rock duo, THE DODIES, released their debut album IT’S ONE HELL OF A RIDE on April 24. Check out their video for single “Boiling Point” here!
