Monday, November 6

Spend the night with Rami Kleinstein at City Winery! Folk it up with The Strumbellas and Noah Kahan at Terminal West! Get your reggae fix with Jesse Royal at Vinyl! Spend the night with Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo and more as they perform a benefit reading of Thornton Wilder’s classic play, OUR TOWN, directed by Kenny Leon, at the Fox Theatre, with all proceeds going to Puerto Rico relief efforts! Swing on by Big Band Night featuring Joe Gransden and his amazing 17-member orchestra at Café 290 every first and third Monday of the month! Boogie on down to the Northside Tavern and spend an evening with Lola at her famous Monday Night Northside Jam! Get the blues with Bill Sheffield at Blind Willie’s! And blues on down to Fat Matt’s Rib Shack for a side of Dry White Toast and a plate full ‘o finger lickin’ BBQ!

Tuesday, November 7

Landmark Midtown Art Cinema continues their “A Dish Best Served Cold” Classics Series with a screening of Alejandro Jodorowsky’s THE HOLY MOUNTAIN (1973) at 7pm! Get your psychedelic avant-garde pop fix with Ariel Pink and the Clang Quartet at The Earl! Center for Puppetry Arts presents your favorite traditional seasonal reindeer tale, RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER, jinglin’ through Dec. 31! Jam it up with Joe Gransden and his jazz jam session at Venkman’s every Tuesday! Rumble on down to Blind Willie’s for a night with The Red Stone Ramblers! The Star Bar delivers a night of retro shenanigans with DJ Quasi Mandisco’s Little 5 Points Dance Party featuring retro-soul, funk, ‘80s, ‘90s and more! And as always, groove on down with Swami Gone Bananas at the Northside Tavern!

Wednesday, November 8

Prog rock it up with Goblin and Morricone Youth at The Loft! Videodrome presents a screening of Terry Zwigoff’s GHOST WORLD (2001) at 529 at 4pm! The Plaza Theater valley girls it up with a screening of Amy Heckerling’s CLUELESS (1995) at 8pm! Glam it up and rock out with Barb Wire Dolls, The Breaknecks and more at the Masquerade! Spend the night with H.E.R. at Center Stage! Rock out with the DeadPhish Orchestra and Maradeen at City Winery! Raise a ruckus with Kool Kat Scott Glazer’s Mojo Dojo at Blind Willie’s! Emory Cinematheque continues their Resist Fascism Series with a screening of Costa-GavrasAMEN (2002) at 7:30pm! Fat Matt’s Rib Shack dishes out a night of the blues with Frankie’s Blues Mission! Get jazzy at the Red Light Café with The Gordon Vernick Quartet! Or make your way to the Northside Tavern as Danny ‘Mudcat’ Dudeck fires it up with his rockin’ blues! St. James Live! delivers their Hump Days Blues night, getting classic blues-style every Wednesday! And as always, it’s Ladies Night at Johnny’s Hideaway which plays hits from Sinatra to Madonna for a generally mature crowd.

Thursday, November 9

Rock out with Black Linen, Kool Kat Rod Hamdallah and Black Cat Rising at Gaja Korean Bar! Kool Kat Hot Rod Walt gets acoustic and rocks out at Porterdale Bar & Grill! Rock on down to The Star Bar for Jabroni Fest (Nov. 9-11) featuring Burns Like Fire, Kool Kats Shehehe, Kool Kats The Joy Kills, Ganges Phalanges, Jaws the Musical and so much more! Or get your funk metal fix with Primus at the Tabernacle! Justin Townes Earl and Joshua Hedley dish out a night of rockin’ Americana at the Variety Playhouse! Get the blues with Kandace Springs at City Winery! The Ballroom Thieves folk it up with Chris Smither at Eddie’s Attic! Race a ruckus with The Good Graces, Chickens and Pigs, Emily Backus and more at the Red Light Café! Get countrified Texas-style with Reckless Kelly and The Trongone Band at Terminal West! Get some soul and make your way to The Vista Room for a Bill Withers Tribute! Or get your fiddler soul fix with Karen Briggs at Suite Food Lounge! Make your way to 7 Stages for the Home Brew Festival, through Nov. 18! Stomp on down to Blind Willie’s for a night with Heather Luttrell! It’s Mai Tai Thursday at Trader Vic’s so hula on down for some rockin’ island tunes and a couple of cocktails! The Northside Tavern gets rockin’ with a little Chicago/Delta blues of The Breeze Kings! Stagger on over to Noni’s Bar & Deli for their Bitter Heroes event featuring DJ Brian Parris as he gets charmingly morose with a little New-Wave, The Smiths and The Cure! Get your boogie on at Fat Matt’s Rib Shack, as Chickenshack featuring Eddie Tigner, delivers some honky-tonk blues! And as always, boogie down at Mary’s, as the East Atlanta venue gets funky with their weekly Disco in the Village.

Friday, November 10

Key it up with Tori Amos at Atlanta Symphony Hall! Cindy Wilson (The B-52s) New Waves it up at The Earl! Film Love and Kool Kat Andy Ditzler presents The American Music Show #3: Performance Practic at Eyedrum! Get to the root of it all with Delta Moon at The Vista Room! Shimmy on down to City Winery for a night with Wasabassco Burlesque! Patrick Davis & His Midnight Choir get down at Eddie’s Attic! Blues it up with the R ‘n’ B Revue at Fat Matt’s Rib Shack! It’s a night of speakeasy shenanigans with The Hobohemians at the Fernbank Museum! It’s a night of rockin’ Mods at MadLife Stage & Studios with their Rod Stewart Experience! Make your way to the Red Clay Theatre for a night with The Caroline Aiken Trio and Suzanne Slair! It’s a night of rockin’ blues with Patrick Sweany, Kool Kat Rod Hamdallah and Truett at Smith’s Olde Bar! Bluegrass it up with Darrell Scott & Jim Lauderdale at Variety Playhouse! Every first and third Mondays are Big Band Nights at Café 290, featuring Joe Gransden and his amazing 16-piece orchestra playing jazz and swing standards in the tradition of The Glen Miller Orchestra and other legendary groups.  Second and fourth Mondays are Bumpin the Mango, ‘The groove that makes you want to move!’

Every first Wednesday is the Graveyard Tavern’s Graveyard Swing Night, featuring the swingin’ jazz and boogie-woogie sounds of the Savoy Kings!
