Cosmic Charlie pays tribute to Pink Floyd and the Grateful Dead at City Winery! Get rootsy with The Would Be Thieves, Catherine Britt and Katrina Burgyne at the Red Light Café! Stomp on down to Smith’s Olde Bar for a night with Muddy Ruckus and Alex Culbreth! Jam it up with Joe Gransden and his jazz jam session at Venkman’s! The Star Bar delivers a night of retro shenanigans with DJ Quasi Mandisco’s Pajama Party Spring Edition featuring retro-soul, funk, ‘80s, ‘90s and more!  Johnny Cash Now pays tribute to the Man in Black at Fat Matt’s Rib Shack! And as always, groove on down with Swami Gone Bananas at the Northside Tavern!

Emory Cinematheque continues their “History of Color Films” series with a screening of Ingmar Bergman’s CRIES & WHISPERS (1972) at 7:30pm! Folk it up with Violet Vonder Haar at the Elliott Street Pub! Get grungy with Swervedriver the Masquerade! Rock out with the Harlequins, Butthole and Dead Neighbors at The Star Bar! Get the rockin’ blues with Cody Dickinson and Friends (North Mississippi Allstars) at Terminal West! The Highlander rocks out with their Punk/Metal/New Wave Karaoke Night, every Wednesday! Catch a Flashback Cinema screening of John Ford’s THE QUIET MAN (1952) at theatres across Atlanta [Northlake Festival Movie Tavern (Tucker); GTC Merchant’s Walk Cinemas (Marietta); Movie Tavern at Horizon Village (Suwannee); and The Springs Cinema & Taphouse (Sandy Springs)]! Funk it up with the Mike Veal Band at Tin Roof Cantina! Get jazzy at the Red Light Café with The Gordon Vernick Quartet! Videodrome and The Plaza Theater get bizarre with their Plazadrome Cult Film Series screening of Satoshi Kon’s PAPRIKA (2006) at 9:30pm! Americana it up with Lucinda Williams at the Buckhead Theatre! Spend the night with Idan Raichel at City Winery! The Star Bar delivers one hellacious hootenanny with Wonky Tonk & The Highlife, Nikki & The Phantom Callers and Kool Kat Caroline & The Ramblers! It’s Mai Tai Thursday at Trader Vic’s so get down with some island tunes and have some killer cocktails! The Northside Tavern gets rockin’ with a little Chicago/Delta blues of The Breeze Kings! Get your boogie on at Fat Matt’s Rib Shack, as Chickenshack featuring Eddie Tigner, delivers some honky-tonk blues! And as always, boogie down at Mary’s, as the East Atlanta venue gets funky with their weekly Disco in the Village.

The Outer Dark Symposium on the Greater Weird 2019 is the only annual conference focused on contemporary Weird fiction and is hosted by ATLRetro’s Anya Martin and Weird fiction writer, Scott Nicolay. This wickedly Weird event kicks off tonight at the Hotel Indigo in College Park with an opening reception, readings and special presentations. Make your way to PULP Atlanta for The Thespian Society of Liberty College’s performance of THE COMPLETE WORKS OF QUENTIN TARANTINO, through March 30! Garage rock it up with The Woggles, Bad Spell and Rodeo Twister at The Star Bar! Spend the night with Eliot Bronson and Tony Lucca at Eddie’s Attic! Natural Wonder pays tribute to Stevie Wonder at City Winery! Spend the night with Kevn Kenney at the Crimson Moon Café! Garage rock it up with Sash the Bash, MammaBear and Alchemy at The Earl! Come on down to catch Kitty Rose & The Ramblers, Atomic Boogie, Slim & The Gems and more! Space rock it up with Spiritualized at Terminal West! Get some soul with Aaron Neville at City Winery! Yacht Rock Revue performs Talking Heads’ STOP MAKING SENSE at the Variety Playhouse! Spend the night with Eliot Bronson and Tony Lucca at Eddie’s Attic! Haunt on down to Amsterdam Atlanta for Kool Kat VJ Anthony’s COFFIN CLASSICS: Goth Industrial Darkwave Music Video Night featuring Goth, dark 80s and more! It’s Prohibition pandemonium at Tin Roof Cantina with Kool Kat Blair Crimmins & The Hookers!
