Swing on by Big Band Night featuring Joe Gransden and his amazing 17-member orchestra at Café 290 every first and third Monday of the month! Boogie on down to the Northside Tavern and spend an evening with Lola at her famous Monday Night Northside Jam! And blues on down to Fat Matt’s Rib Shack for a night with Larry Griffith!

Tuesday, January 2

Blues on down to City Winery for their Holiday Hangover Blues Revue: 3 Kings Edition (BB, Freddie, Albert)! Darwin’s Burgers & Blues gets down with the Poverty Level Band! JT Speed gets down at Fat Matt’s Rib Shack!  Jam it up with Joe Gransden and his jazz jam session at Venkman’s every Tuesday! The Star Bar delivers a night of retro shenanigans with DJ Quasi Mandisco’s Little 5 Points Dance Party featuring retro-soul, funk, ‘80s, ‘90s and more! And as always, groove on down with Swami Gone Bananas at the Northside Tavern!

Wednesday, January 3

Videodrome Kung-Fus it up and presents a matinee screening of Lau Kar-leung’s THE LEGEND OF DRUNKEN MASTER (1994) at 529 at 4pm! Raise a ruckus with The Howlin’ Brothers Adam Klein & The Wildfires and Oh Jeremiah at Smith’s Olde Bar! It’s a night of folksy soul with Adron and Faye Webster at Eddie’s Attic! Get the blues with Michael Preston at Fat Matt’s Rib Shack! Get the rockin’ blues with The Cazanovas at Darwin’s Burgers & Blues! Funk it up with the Mike Veal Band at Tin Roof Cantina! Get bewitched with a screening of Chris Columbus’ HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER’S’ STONE (2001) at Studio Movie Grill (Alpharetta/Duluth) at 7:15pm! Get jazzy at the Red Light Café with The Gordon Vernick Quartet! Or make your way to the Northside Tavern as Danny ‘Mudcat’ Dudeck fires it up with his rockin’ blues! St. James Live! delivers their Hump Days Blues night, getting classic blues-style every Wednesday! And as always, it’s Ladies Night at Johnny’s Hideaway which plays hits from Sinatra to Madonna for a generally mature crowd.

Spend the night with Steve Earle and Mike Mattison at City Winery! The Babys dish out a night of classic rock at Eddie’s Attic! Cody Matlock & the Mothership get down at Darwin’s Burgers & Blues! It’s Mai Tai Thursday at Trader Vic’s so hula on down for a night of smooth island tuens and some killer cocktails! Jam on down and bluegrass it up at the Red Light Café with gr8FLdude & frenz, the Justin Sams Band and Alex & Todd! The Northside Tavern gets rockin’ with a little Chicago/Delta blues of The Breeze Kings! Stagger on over to Noni’s Bar & Deli for their Bitter Heroes event featuring DJ Brian Parris as he gets charmingly morose with a little New-Wave, The Smiths and The Cure! Get your boogie on at Fat Matt’s Rib Shack, as Chickenshack featuring Eddie Tigner, delivers some honky-tonk blues! And as always, boogie down at Mary’s, as the East Atlanta venue gets funky with their weekly Disco in the Village.

Friday, January 5

James Hall & The Steady Wicked, with Five Eight and Jeremy Ray rock out at The Earl! Spend the night with Pat McGee at Eddie’s Attic! Get your ‘80s MTV era synth-pop fix with Electric Avenue at Madlife Stage & Studios in Woodstock! Cabaret rock on down to the Masquerade for a night with Sarah and the Safe Word, Eddie Rascal and more! Stomp on down to Smith’s Olde Bar for a night with Folk Soul Revival, Waller, and Jack’s River Band (upstairs), or catch Blackfox, Boxcar Radio, Kim Ware (Good Graces) and Hills & Holler (downstairs)! Blues rock it up with Eric Gales and Heather Gillis at Terminal West! Boogie woogie on down to Darwin’s Burgers & Blues for a night with the Colin Alvarez Band! Or get down with the Tyler Neal Band at Fat Matt’s Rib Shack! Blues it up with Watermelon Slim at Blind Willie’s! Get the blues with Robert Lee Coleman at Northside Tavern! Rumble on down to The Star Bar for a night with Hi-Test featuring Johnny McGowan, The Vipers and Michael Bradley! Or rev it up at The Earl Smith Strand Theatre as Kool Kat Rev. Andy and Grease, Inc. Magazine host their Ink & Oil Kustom Kulture Awards from 5-8pm, featuring a rockin’ retro line-up with Atomic Boogie, Kitty Rose, the Screamin’ Demons and more! The Earl dishes out a night of fuzzed out rock ‘n’ roll with Shantih Shantih, Material Girls, Dot.s and more! Delta Moon and Pat McGee get to the root of it all at Eddie’s Attic! Kool Kat Noelle Shuck with SheHeHe, Spray Tan, CHUNX and the Burrito Banditos rock out at The Highlander! Cash Unchained pays tribute to the Man in Black at Madlife Stage & Studios! Spend the night with Kool Kat Drew Beskin with The District Attorneys and Zero Beach at Smith’s Olde Bar! Jam it up at the Variety Playhouse with the Jerry Garcia Band Cover Band (JGBCB) and Tribute!  Yacht Rock Revue and the Sweet Auburn String Band get down at Venkman’s! The Plaza Theater Time-Warps it up as they screen, THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW (1975) every Friday night, featuring the live cast of Lips Down on Dixie at midnight!

Get your reggae fix with Rub-A-Dub gettin’ down at WildPitch Music Hall, every second Sunday of the month!

Every first and third Mondays are Big Band Nights at Café 290, featuring Joe Gransden and his amazing 16-piece orchestra playing jazz and swing standards in the tradition of The Glen Miller Orchestra and other legendary groups.  Second and fourth Mondays are Bumpin the Mango, ‘The groove that makes you want to move!’

Every first Wednesday is the Graveyard Tavern’s Graveyard Swing Night, featuring the swingin’ jazz and boogie-woogie sounds of the Savoy Kings!
