Monday, November 27

Stay alive at The Plaza Theater and catch a 40th Anniversary screening of John Badham’s boogietastic SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER (1977), through Nov. 30! Get countrified and folksy with Kristian Bush at Eddie’s Attic! Get funky and groove on down to Café 290 every second and fourth Monday of the month for a taste of Bumpin the Mango, ‘The groove that makes you want to move!” Boogie on down to the Northside Tavern and spend an evening with Lola at her famous Monday Night Northside Jam! Blues it up with Bob Page and more at Blind Willie’s! And blues on down to Fat Matt’s Rib Shack for a side of Dry White Toast and a plate full ‘o finger lickin’ BBQ!

Tuesday, November 28

Vengeance is yours so make your way to Landmark Midtown Art Cinema as they continue their “A Dish Best Served Cold” Classics Series with a screening of Toshiya Fujita’s LADY SNOWBIRD (1973) at 7pm! Or haunt on down to the Fox Theatre for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s LOVE NEVER DIES, THE PHANTOM RETURNS, through Dec. 3! Take a trip to the North Pole with the Northlake Festival Movie Tavern’s screening of Jon Favreau’s ELF (2003), as part of their Retro Cinema series at 7:30pm! Jam it up with Joe Gransden and his jazz jam session at Venkman’s every Tuesday! Blind Willie’s dishes out a night of rockin’ blues with Frankie’s Blues Mission! The Star Bar delivers a night of retro shenanigans with DJ Quasi Mandisco’s Little 5 Points Dance Party featuring retro-soul, funk, ‘80s, ‘90s and more! And as always, groove on down with Swami Gone Bananas at the Northside Tavern!

Wednesday, November 29

Rock on down to The Earl and catch a screening of Tim Irwin and Keith Schieron’s documentary, DON’T BREAK DOWN: A FILM ABOUT JAWBREAKER (2017) at 7:30pm! Or take a trip to the North Pole with the Northlake Festival Movie Tavern’s encore screening of Jon Favreau’s ELF (2003), as part of their Retro Cinema series at 7:30pm! Or catch a screening of Victor Fleming’s award-winning classic GONE WITH THE WIND (1939) at Studio Movie Grill (Alpharetta/Duluth) at 7:15pm! Jazz it up with Kurt Elling at City Winery! Catch the Dead Affect at Smith’s Olde Bar! Get the blues with Ike Stubblefield at Avondale Towne Cinema! Rock out with Cosmic Charlie at Vinyl! Make your way to the Elliott Street Pub for the Jordan Shalhoup Mini Big Band! Hang with The Dude as Videodrome presents a screening of The Coen Brothers’ THE BIG LEBOWSKI (1998) at 529 at 9pm! Get down with Jetback & The Whachos at Blind Willie’s! Fat Matt’s Rib Shack dishes out a night of the blues with Frankie’s Blues Mission! Get jazzy at the Red Light Café with The Gordon Vernick Quartet! Or make your way to the Northside Tavern as Danny ‘Mudcat’ Dudeck fires it up with his rockin’ blues! St. James Live! delivers their Hump Days Blues night, getting classic blues-style every Wednesday! NOLA legends Joe Krown and Mitch Woods pay tribute to Fats Domino at The Vista Room! Folk rock it up with Roadkill Ghost Choir at Terminal West! Make your way to Venkman’s for ‘80s Soundtrack Night! Folk rock it up with Aaron West & The Roaring Twenties, Steady Hands, Chase Huglin, and Norwegian Arms at the Masquerade! Rock out with The Stacktone Slims and Black Cat Rising at The Star Bar! Get funky with the Yonrico Scott Band, Funk Xtreme and the Glen Pridgen Band at Smith’s Olde Bar! Make your way to City Winery for a night with Mike Cooley (Drive By Truckers)! Flamenco on down to the Red Light Café with Jose Manuel, Francisco Orozco, Antonio Granjero and Julie Moon! Catch a screening of Tommy Wiseau’s THE ROOM at The Plaza Theater (2003) at 7:30pm, through Dec. 3! Blues it up with George Hughley & The Shadows at Blind Willie’s! Get your boogie on at Fat Matt’s Rib Shack, as Chickenshack featuring Eddie Tigner, delivers some honky-tonk blues! And as always, boogie down at Mary’s, as the East Atlanta venue gets funky with their weekly Disco in the Village.

The Masquerade dishes out one hellacious hootenanny with the Reverend Horton Heat, Junior Brown, The Blasters and Big Sandy! It’s maniacal mayhem at The Star Bar with the Subsonics, Sit N Spin, Bad Spell and Nikki & The Phantom Callers! Film Love and Kool Kat Andy Ditzler presents The American Music Show #5: National Holidays at Whitespace Gallery! Rock out and honkytonk on down to The Earl for a night with Lee Bains III & The Glory Fires with BITTER and Hunger Anthem! Get naughty with St. Nick during The Plaza Theater’s screening of Terry Zwigoff’s BAD SANTA (2003), through Dec. 2! New Wave it up with Cut Copy at the Variety Playhouse! Alt rock out with Marc Roberge (O.A.R.) at City Winery! Have a Merry Funkin’ Christmas with Secondhand Swagger at Venkman’s! Rock on down to The Earl for Roxonian (Smithsonian performing Roxy Music) with Parsons Rocket Project! Spend the night with Zen Time, The Western Sizzlers and Skye Paige at Avondale Towne Cinema! Funk it up with Moses Mo (Mother’s Finest) at Smith’s Olde Bar! Get mischievous with the blood of gods with Gwar at the Masquerade! Make your way to Atlanta Symphony Hall for ASO’s live accompaniment to Dianne Jackson’s animated film, THE SNOWMAN (1982)! Gypsy jazz it up with The Hot Club of Atlanta at Venkman’s! Get sweet and low down blues-style at the Northside Tavern with Uncle Sugar with Eddie Tigner!

Every first Wednesday is the Graveyard Tavern’s Graveyard Swing Night, featuring the swingin’ jazz and boogie-woogie sounds of the Savoy Kings!
